OUR FOUNDER - BAKHTAWAR SIDDIQUI
Bakhtawar Siddiqui is a trailblazer known for her exceptional talent and entrepreneurial spirit. Hailing from a humble background steeped in the family tradition of shoemaking.
“Vashah was never planned — it was born from a single piece stitched out of love."
In 2020, I designed a dupatta for my sister’s jahez (trousseau) — a piece that was deeply personal, woven with emotion, and quietly luxurious.
It wasn’t just an accessory; it was an heirloom. A piece crafted not to impress, but to endure. Silent in its luxury, powerful in its craft.
The response was overwhelming. Family, friends, and even strangers urged me to take this love for handwork further, to build something timeless.
We started humbly: a handful of handworked organza dupattas, shared through a few bloggers. Within three hours of our first launch, we sold out — a powerful moment that showed us Vashah was not just an idea, but a feeling that others understood too.
Since then, Vashah has grown thread by thread, stitch by stitch.
With each passing year, we have pursued finer fabrics, more intricate designs, and deeper storytelling, creating pieces that sometimes take months to complete.
Today, Vashah stands for heirloom craftsmanship.
We create with time, not trends.
With meaning, not mass production.
With love, not haste.
And for everyone who has chosen a Vashah piece, or simply believed in the beauty of what we do, thank you.
You are part of this story too.
A story of memory, craft, and quiet luxury — meant to be worn, cherished, and passed down for generations.”
